How the wire-up works
Three things to know: the protocol, the credential, and what the alert payload looks like. The setup is the same on free and Pro.

- SMTP host + port + (optional) username + password. Per-organisation; stored encrypted. Or use the platform's NOTIFICATION_EMAIL_FROM default and target any address.
- Payload
- HTML body with the standard base template (header, monitor name, status, error or recovery message, latency, link) plus a plain-text fallback for clients that disable HTML.
