This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
1. Commercial website analytics
On our commercial website, ZnowSoft measures public page views, traffic-source categories, button and link clicks, and observed active time to understand how people find and use our products. A random browser-tab identifier expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. We estimate device type, browser, operating system, preferred language, country and region. Location is looked up locally; raw IP addresses, full browser strings, cities and coordinates are not stored in these analytics records.
Website analytics is separate from account and product telemetry. It does not collect private pages, form contents, search queries, full referral URLs or recordings, and does not join visits across websites or to customer accounts. Records expire after 90 days. The tracker respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. You can exclude this browser on this website; include it again to reverse that preference. The exclusion preference uses local storage; the tab identifier uses session storage.
2. Who handles your information and why
ZNOWSOFT, LLC determines how account, billing, security and service-administration information is used. Organizations may determine the purposes of personal data they place in monitoring configurations, incident content or notification destinations; in those cases we handle that data on their instructions as appropriate to our role.
Where a law requires a processing agreement for customer-controlled data, the organization should contact info@znowsoft.com to arrange it before that processing. This privacy notice does not replace the required agreement or its provider and security schedules.
Where a legal basis is required: we use account and billing information to enter into and perform our contract; retain required financial records to meet legal obligations; and use proportionate security, reliability and product-use information for legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, subject to applicable rights and balancing requirements. Optional marketing uses consent where required. Withdrawing marketing consent does not cancel your account. Without information necessary for account operation or billing, we may be unable to provide the corresponding service.
3. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:
- Account Information: Name, email address, username, and a hashed password when you create a password-based account. We also record the terms version and time of acceptance, and notices of material changes
- Payment Information: Billing details processed through our third-party payment processors (we do not store complete credit card numbers)
- Monitoring Configuration: URLs, endpoints, and services you configure for monitoring, including any request headers, credentials or payloads you choose to provide
- Communications: Information you provide when contacting our support team or using our support assistant. Messages may be handled by automated support systems and human support staff; do not include passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information
1.2 Automatically Collected Information
When you use ZnowPulse, we automatically collect:
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the Service, including features accessed and actions taken
- Service Telemetry: We use limited product-use and service-reliability information to operate, secure, and improve the Service. Events cover setup, feature use, incidents, maintenance windows, status-page changes, and endpoint failures and recoveries.
Organization-scoped events are attributed to the organization owner's account — not to whichever member performed the action — and the owner's email address is sent in a dedicated attribution field, which ZNOWSOFT resolves to an internal account identifier on arrival rather than storing the address itself. This applies to every plan that has telemetry enabled, not only Free.
Service telemetry does not include monitor addresses or names, alert destinations, notification recipients, credentials, incident text, or any customer-entered content. Payload fields are limited to counts, statuses and flags drawn from a fixed list.
Pro administrators can turn off organization-scoped product telemetry in Organization settings; on the Free plan it is included and cannot be disabled. - Device Information: Browser type, operating system, IP address, and device identifiers
- Monitoring Data: Response times, uptime statistics, and performance metrics from your monitored endpoints
- Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies and local storage to maintain your session and preferences. We do not set marketing-attribution cookies. Previously set zp_attribution_ cookies are cleared when you visit. A referral code supplied in a signup link may be recorded with the signup; it does not subscribe you to marketing. Security and support integrations may process device and network information to prevent abuse and deliver support; their operation is separate from advertising tracking

We handle requests subject to applicable rights, security requirements and lawful retention obligations. 9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction. Locations depend on hosting and support providers, selected probe regions and your configured integrations. Where legally required, an applicable transfer mechanism must be in place, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual clauses. Contact info@znowsoft.com for destinations and safeguards relevant to your data. This policy does not claim that every provider holds a particular certification.

We normally respond within one month; where law permits an extension, we explain the reason and notify you within the initial period.
11. United States state privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence and whether the relevant law applies to our business, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, and to opt out of covered processing. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Contact info@znowsoft.com to make a request or appeal a decision where an appeal right applies. We do not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
12. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take steps to delete such information.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. For significant changes, we will provide more prominent notice (such as email notification).
This notice explains our processing; it is not a request for blanket consent. If a new processing purpose requires your consent, we obtain it separately before that processing begins.
